I Want a Girl With Short Hair and Tall Boots...

Hello lovelies! Today will be another short(ish) post. I have to pick up a friend at the airport tonight (WOOHOO!!!) and have yet to clean my room before she comes.

So, went to Fitzgerald's last night to see an open mic/a band. The band was White Denim and they were worth the $14. I can't say I'd buy the album, but in terms of energy it was a fun show. Not to mention I saw a guy that looked like a super tall and even geekier David Tennant as the Doctor, except he was wearing plaid. Made my night, though.

I also had the pleasure of seeing a new friend do standup (again). He's pretty darn hilarious. The letter at the beginning of his set killed me. One of my buddies laughed so hard he collapsed onto the floor. If you'd like to check it out, click here and let the comedy ensue. (Warning, the content is very explicit. Okay. So. Things I did today. I went ahead and saw a counselor, did another energy work session and worked out. So, feeling pretty good this evening. It seems that I go through cycles, but what really puts me in a tail spin is random drama. As long as I can keep myself out of that energy I do pretty well. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But a heck of a lot better than throwing myself back into the craziness.

By the way, thank you to all the fb folks out there that liked my pic of what I wore out last night. It made me feel so loved and appreciated. It's nice to know that short hair+crop top=massive facebook response. I'll remember that in the future :)

So, let me know, here or on facebook, if you want me to post more pictures about what I'm wearing/inspired by that evening. Since everyone seemed to like it, I might as well continue the trend. I mean, I haven't been having all these fabulous experiences looking like a schlub... Don't worry, this won't turn into a fashion blog. I do have a brain I enjoy using for things other than color coordination and keeping up with the latest designers.
