Heading to Ajloun

Hello there, readers!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was busy running around and seeing family as well as meeting with everyone that made this scouting trip that I'm going on happen.

Oh, didn't I mention that I'm going along with a scouting trip for Jack Hanna's Into the Wild? No? Well, that's why I'm here! I'll be tagging along with the group blogging and tweeting and facebooking the whole thing. It's going to be a whirlwind tour of Jordan, focusing mainly on wildlife and conservation efforts, though we'll also be hitting up the major stops like the Dead Sea and Petra. But along with those we'll be staying in an eco-lodge, checking out an ancient hunting lodge, going to different wildlife preserves... even to the Royal Stables (which has a lot more than just horses)!

I can't wait. I met most of the people that made this trip happen last night (including Princess Alia... yeah, I met royalty) as well as the two guys that are actually on the scouting mission for the show. They seem really nice, which is a good thing as we'll be spending the next week or so running around Jordan with them.

I'll be taking lots of pictures, etc, though I will warn you that my camera died last night. And I have no charger. So, like any good young American I'll be taking pictures on my iPhone (or, since the phone part is no longer useful with the international travel, my iTinyComputerThatI'mOnAllTheTimeForAlmostNoReasonExceptToSometimesTakePictures).

So. There's that.

I also went to the bars last night with my cousin. I got to meet a lot of his friends and they're all very hip (I think I slightly offended one by saying her studded leather jacket was very Gaga, since she thinks Gaga isn't very great - but only cause she sold out). Apparently they're headed to the Dead Sea to party today and were shocked that I was going to Ajloun instead of hitting up their crazy party. Well, I came here for a purpose, right? A party at the Dead Sea or the internship I was brought here for.........??? Of course I'm choosing the internship! Parties at the Dead Sea happen all the time for Americans that are in the country for a short period of time (Can you tell I'm having to rationalize this a bit?)...

All right. Well. I have to pack and we're leaving in an hour, so I'll be off. Pictures with my next post, I promise.

Cheers!
